Live Nation Opens The Truth, a New 4,400-Capacity Venue in Nashville

Live Nation has officially opened The Truth, its new 4,400-capacity indoor music venue in Nashville’s Wedgewood-Houston neighbourhood. The venue opened on October 1 with a sold-out performance by Miranda Lambert, marking the beginning of its inaugural season.

The three-level venue was developed with Live Nation and AJ Capital Partners, with Blueprint Studio, Live Nation’s in-house design and development group, designing the space from the ground up. The venue has been designed around Nashville’s music heritage while incorporating modern production and audience facilities.

The Truth takes its name from legendary songwriter Harlan Howard’s description of what makes a good country song: “three chords and the truth.” The reference to Howard is carried throughout the venue, including Harlan’s, a mezzanine whiskey bar named in his honour. Other features include a lyric-projecting chandelier, a two-story Vinyl Room and a Set List Studio where fans can receive letterpress-printed setlists from each show.

Sally Williams, President of Nashville Music & Business Strategy, Live Nation said, “Our aspiration for The Truth is simple: to create a venue worthy of the city that inspired it. We want fans to feel connected to the music and artists to feel genuinely welcome and cared for. We want The Truth to feel unmistakably Nashville—rooted in its extraordinary musical legacy and reflective of the creative community shaping its future.”

The venue’s opening season features a broad mix of artists and genres. Following Miranda Lambert, the initial sold-out shows include Malcolm Todd, Role Model and Freya Skye. The calendar through the end of the year also features Jack White, The Chicks, Sting, The Smashing Pumpkins, HARDY, Beck, GloRilla, Bleachers, Limp Bizkit, Foster the People, Goose, Orville Peck, Jodeci and Stephen Wilson Jr., among others.

Community engagement is also part of the venue’s launch. Live Nation has made multi-year commitments to the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) and W.O. Smith Music School, supporting music education and the local songwriting community. Students from W.O. Smith performed during a soft opening before the official launch, becoming the first musicians to take the stage at The Truth.

Dr. Valerie Cordero, Executive Director of W.O. Smith Music School said, “The Truth is a prestigious addition to Music City, and we are grateful for Live Nation’s commitment to music education. Our student musicians have worked incredibly hard on their repertoire. Being the first to perform on this stage will be an achievement that they remember for the rest of their lives.”

The venue is also working with Wedgewood-Houston-based social enterprise Humphreys Street, which creates employment and mentorship opportunities for local teenagers. The partnership includes providing custom coffee and soaps for artists and crews backstage.

Beyond concerts, The Truth is positioned as a multi-use event space that can accommodate groups ranging from 25 to 4,400 guests, with private-event offerings including corporate events, brand activations, receptions and private concerts.

With its combination of live entertainment, local partnerships and Nashville-inspired design, The Truth adds a new large-scale venue to Music City’s growing live events infrastructure.
