Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI will host its Grand Finale with designer Amit Aggarwal’s prêt label AM.IT on October 18, 2026, at Taj Palace, New Delhi.
The showcase will explore the transition from the workday to the evening, bringing together structured silhouettes, expressive colours, rich textures and glamour. The collaboration between Lakmé 9to5 and AM.IT is built around the idea of a wardrobe that can move from the 9-to-5 into after-hours occasions.
The collection draws inspiration from the visual landscape of everyday India, including craft, concrete, colour, utility and ornament. These references inform the collection’s use of colour, proportion, texture and form, with tailoring becoming more relaxed and expressive as the day transitions into evening.
Sunanda Khaitan, CMO, Beauty & Wellbeing, HUL said, “LakmÄ“ 9to5 has always mirrored the real pulse of a woman’s life, acknowledging that her energy shifts across the day, especially past 5 PM. Partnering with Amit Aggarwal for the Grand Finale allows us to decode that transition on the runway. Through his structured yet fluid silhouettes, the showcase explores how high-concept couture adapts to the modern rhythm. The collection seamlessly mirrors our new LakmÄ“ 9to5 Hya Glam range, which brings skin hydrating, high-octane glow to match the versatility of clothing that shifts effortlessly from work to play. Together, we are decoding the ultimate ‘5PM Glam Reset,’ proving that beauty and fashion can work in tandem to make every evening reset effortless, expressive, and undeniably bold.”
Amit Aggarwal, Founder and Creative Director, AM.IT said, “AM:IT has always existed in the space between what something is and what it could become. Its revival is a return to that instinct; taking the research, experimentation and material language of Amit Aggarwal couture and allowing it to move into a more immediate, everyday wardrobe.
That made our conversation with Lakmé 9to5 particularly instinctive. Both fashion and beauty have the power to transform without asking you to become someone else. They simply reveal another side of you. The collection follows that thought: starting with the discipline of the day and gradually releasing it through colour, texture, material and silhouette. The transition is seamless because the person does not change; their energy does.”
The Grand Finale will bring together fashion and beauty through AM.IT’s collection and Lakmé 9to5’s ‘5PM Glam Reset’ concept, highlighting the transition from work to evening celebrations.
