Super League Kerala Announces Key Updates Ahead of Season 3

White Gold Money presents Super League Kerala, powered by Amul India, held a media day in Kochi to announce key strategic, operational and competitive updates ahead of Season 3, which is set to begin on September 25, 2026.

The media day began with a minute of silence in memory of Rijohn Jose, who passed away early this morning in a road accident. The Super League Kerala leadership, club representatives and media fraternity paid their respects, with the league extending its condolences to his family and loved ones.

Following the remembrance, Super League Kerala Director and CEO Mathew Joseph and Managing Director Firoz Meeran outlined the key developments for the upcoming season.

For Season 3, the league has announced a strategic partnership with Zee Entertainment as its official broadcasting partner. Digital streaming will be available on Zee5, while linear coverage will be carried on Unite8 Sports. International transmission will be available through Etisalat in the UAE.

The league has also introduced the Super League Kerala Shield, which will recognize the regular-season leaders. Season 3 will feature an expanded 35-match schedule, including two-legged semi-finals and a revised 3-2-1 tiebreaker point structure.

A total of 162 players have been registered across the six returning franchises. The registrations include 34 international players representing 17 nations, alongside domestic talent.

The campaign will officially begin on September 25 at Jawahar Municipal Stadium in Kannur, with defending champions Kannur Warriors FC taking on Thrissur Magic FC. The opening match will also feature a special performance by artist Dabzee.

Super League Kerala said it remains focused on advancing the football ecosystem in Kerala, while thanking its stakeholders, commercial partners and the media for their continued support.
