IAAPA Expo Europe 2026 Opens in London, Showcasing the Wonder of the Global Attractions Industry

IAAPA Expo Europe 2026 officially opened at ExCeL London, bringing attractions industry professionals from Europe and around the world together for a week focused on innovation, education and networking.

Held under the theme “Unleash the Wonder,” the event gives attendees an opportunity to connect with industry peers, explore new ideas and discover products, technologies and experiences shaping the future of the attractions industry.

The 2026 edition features more than 870 exhibitors and over 70 educational events. Education programming runs from September 21 to 25, while the show floor is open from September 22 to 24.

Jakob Wahl, President and CEO, IAAPA said, “Wonder is at the heart of what our industry creates. It begins with an idea and becomes an experience that can inspire curiosity, bring families and communities together, and create memories that last a lifetime. IAAPA Expo Europe is where the people behind those experiences come together to challenge what’s possible, exchange ideas, and turn imagination into what comes next for our industry.”

The Expo opened with a British-themed celebration of storytelling and entertainment, with William Shakespeare taking center stage in a reimagined Big Ben-inspired setting. The opening connected traditional storytelling with the experiences created by the attractions industry today before moving into a celebration featuring live music, dancers and performances.

IAAPA Expo Europe brings together operators, manufacturers, suppliers, developers and industry leaders from across the attractions sector. Participants include professionals from amusement and theme parks, water parks, family entertainment centers, museums, zoos and aquariums, resorts, cruise lines and other attractions.

More than 70 educational events will cover trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the industry. The programme also includes behind-the-scenes experiences, professional development sessions and networking opportunities designed to help attendees exchange knowledge and strengthen industry relationships.

On the show floor, more than 870 exhibitors are showcasing products, technologies and solutions focused on enhancing guest experiences and supporting the development of the attractions industry.

Peter van der Schans, Executive Director and Vice President, IAAPA Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa said, “London has long been a global center for creativity, culture, entertainment, and storytelling, making it an exciting setting for IAAPA Expo Europe 2026. What makes this week truly special is the community coming together here. Our industry creates experiences that connect people across generations and cultures, and Expo Europe gives the professionals behind those experiences the opportunity to learn from one another, discover new possibilities, and build relationships that strengthen our industry across Europe and beyond.”

IAAPA Expo Europe 2026 is being held at ExCeL London, with education programming continuing through September 25 and the show floor open through September 24.
