The seventh edition of the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) is set to be held from September 8 to 11, 2026, at the Jio World Centre and Trident BKC in Mumbai, bringing together policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, technology companies, startups, investors and other stakeholders from across the global financial ecosystem.
The 2026 edition will be held under the theme “Potential to Impact”, with a focus on building “Trusted, Connected, Global Systems for Inclusive Finance.” The event will place particular emphasis on three areas — Agentic AI, Tokenisation and Quantum.
According to the organisers, Agentic AI will be examined in the context of autonomous orchestration of complex financial workflows, personalised services at scale and continuous risk monitoring with minimal human intervention. The tokenisation track will focus on making public, private, physical and digital assets programmable, divisible and transferable on global infrastructure. Quantum technologies will be explored for their potential impact on security, optimisation and computation.
The organisers describe GFF as a global platform for policy dialogue, innovation, cross-border partnerships and collaboration at the intersection of finance, technology and public policy. The event brings together policymakers, regulators, central bankers, financial institutions, technology leaders, fintech entrepreneurs, investors, academics and thought leaders to discuss opportunities and structural changes shaping the future of finance.
GFF 2026 is expected to attract more than 1 lakh attendees, with participation from over 8,000 institutions, 5,000 startups, 1,200 speakers, 500 investors, 450 sessions and 350 exhibitors. The organisers also list more than 200 founders, 200 product launches, 120 regulators, participants from more than 80 countries, and over 75 masterclasses and bespoke events among the expected scale of the festival.
The event is being organised with the participation of institutions including the Payments Council of India, National Payments Corporation of India and Financial and Technology-related stakeholders. The official GFF platform lists the Reserve Bank of India, Securities and Exchange Board of India, International Financial Services Centres Authority and Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority among the institutions associated with the event.
The festival will also feature technology, financial services and ecosystem partners, including Google Pay, PhonePe, Perfios, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda and Amazon Pay, among others.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is among the prominent figures associated with GFF 2026, along with Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. The wider speaker programme includes policymakers, regulators and industry leaders.
The inaugural session on September 8 will be restricted to select guests with special invitations, while other sessions and the expo from September 9 to 11 will be open to registered GFF pass holders, according to the event’s official entry information.
GFF began in 2020 as a virtual platform during the COVID-19 pandemic before evolving into a hybrid format and becoming a fully physical event in Mumbai in 2023. Since then, the organisers say the festival has expanded in scale, international participation and institutional engagement.
The organisers have also introduced a dedicated GFF 2026 app through which participants can access the agenda, personalise schedules, browse speakers and exhibitors, navigate the venue, receive event updates and use registration QR codes for access and badge collection.
