The Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI organised the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India’s (FSSAI) Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) programme in Mumbai on August 31, 2026.
The Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering was held at The Unicontinental and saw the participation of 47 hospitality professionals from the region. The training was conducted by Dr V. Pasupathy.
The programme covered key areas related to food safety, including food handling, hygiene, sanitation and waste management. It also provided participants with practical insights into strengthening food safety measures and implementing best practices in their daily operations.
HRAWI has so far trained and certified 4,065 hospitality professionals through its FoSTaC and FSSAI Management Training Programmes.
The initiative aims to promote a stronger culture of food safety across the hospitality sector while equipping professionals with the knowledge and skills required to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in their operations.
