Vikrant Mudaliar Joins Cruise Money as Co-Founder

Vikrant Mudaliar, former Chief Marketing Officer of Dream Sports, has joined personal finance platform Cruise Money as Co-Founder.

In his new role, Mudaliar will work with Founder and CEO Vinay Bharathwaj and Co-Founder Ganesh KV on the company’s product, brand and business growth as Cruise Money looks to expand its presence in India’s wealth-tech market.

Mudaliar brings more than two decades of experience across marketing, revenue and growth, with experience spanning sports, gaming, media, e-commerce and consumer businesses. Before joining Cruise Money, he was associated with Dream Sports, where he was involved in the growth of fantasy sports platform Dream11. His earlier roles include stints at Yatra, Lenskart and Tata Sky.

Explaining his move to Cruise Money, Mudaliar said personal finance remains a category where consumers can find it difficult to assess whether their savings and investments are aligned with their longer-term goals.

He said, “I’ve spent more than two decades getting people to engage with categories they found complicated or intimidating, and to change how they behave inside them. Money is the biggest version of that problem in this country.”

Cruise Money positions itself as an AI-first personal finance platform that brings together information on investments, spending and financial goals. Its product includes WealthSpan, a metric developed by the company to indicate whether a user’s current financial trajectory is aligned with their stated goals.

Bharathwaj said Mudaliar’s experience in building consumer brands and scaling businesses across media and technology will support Cruise Money as it develops its consumer proposition.

Cruise Money is currently in its launch phase, with its website live and a beta version of the app available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The company is also developing additional features as part of its product roadmap.

Cruise Money is operated by NeuralFin Technologies. The company said it uses the RBI-regulated Account Aggregator framework for read-only access to financial data, while its guidance operates within a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser framework.
