The Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon (Hong Kong Cyclothon) will return on Sunday, October 11, offering cyclists an opportunity to explore Hong Kong through its iconic cityscapes, bridges, tunnels and urban landscapes.
Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), this year’s event will feature two non-competitive cycling routes — a 56km Ride and a 32km Ride. Registrations are now open for cyclists from Hong Kong and around the world.
The event is expected to bring together more than 6,000 cyclists, who will start from the West Kowloon Cultural District and ride through some of Hong Kong’s key landmarks and major roads.
The 56km Ride will feature an all-new route, giving participants the opportunity to experience different sides of Hong Kong. The 32km Ride will offer a shorter option for those looking for a less challenging cycling experience.
Both routes will take cyclists against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour, while offering the opportunity to ride on major roads that are closed to regular traffic during the event.
For Indian travellers, the Hong Kong Cyclothon offers another way to experience the city while combining outdoor activity with sightseeing. Beyond the cycling routes, visitors can explore Hong Kong’s urban attractions, natural landscapes and outdoor experiences.
The event will also feature the Cyclothon Carnival at the West Kowloon Cultural District. Running from morning until dusk, the carnival will include sports, entertainment, family-friendly activities and gourmet experiences for cyclists, visitors and local residents.
With its combination of cycling, entertainment and city experiences, the Hong Kong Cyclothon is set to offer participants a different way to discover Hong Kong.
