$103.7 Billion MICE Market: India Poised for Exponential Growth by 2030

India’s business events sector is witnessing strong growth and is poised to emerge as a major global MICE destination. The national MICE market is projected to reach $103.7 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 13%.

Speaking at the 15th Convention India Conclave, S Gopinath, CEO, International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), highlighted India’s growing position in the global business events landscape. India currently ranks 26th in the ICCA rankings for Number of International Association Meetings.

The country hosts 1,446 international association meetings, generating an estimated $1.2 billion in economic impact. With more than 1,138 global associations operating in India, the country has significant untapped potential to expand its share of the international business events market.

According to Gopinath, stronger data collection, improved digital infrastructure and greater integration of artificial intelligence will be key to unlocking this potential. These developments can help India strengthen its business events ecosystem, attract more international associations and create greater economic opportunities.

With its growing infrastructure, expanding convention capabilities and increasing global interest, India is well positioned to strengthen its presence on the international MICE map and move closer to becoming a global business events powerhouse.
