Print Expo Chennai and Media Expo Chennai Conclude with 17,532 Trade Visitors

The co-located editions of Print Expo Chennai and Media Expo Chennai, held in collaboration with Sign India Expo, concluded successfully at the Chennai Trade Centre after three days of business networking, technology showcases and industry interactions.

The exhibitions attracted 17,532 trade visitors from 221 cities and 20 countries. Across the shows, 185 exhibitors and more than 250 brands showcased over 550 product innovations across 11,000+ gross sqm of exhibition space.

The exhibitions brought together commercial printers, packaging converters, advertising agencies, signage manufacturers, print service providers, brand owners, retailers, architects, interior designers and other professionals looking for new technologies and solutions across printing, packaging, signage, branding, automation and finishing.

Sagar Garib Nawaz Wala, Proprietor of CMYK, said, “The main purpose of our coming here is to cover the signage industry, and the response I got here is mesmerising.”

Vikkas Chordia, Director, Excel India Tech, said, “We are into solutions for indoor and outdoor LED displays, and we have done projects in Australia as well as in Dubai. We have various energy-saving concepts and solutions for LED displays. This is my first time participating in Media Expo, and we have met good B2B and B2C clients who visited us. This exhibition is really great and helpful for us on a B2B scale. We are looking forward to a huge turnaround after the show.”

Automation technologies, digital printing solutions, sustainable production systems and next-generation signage applications were among the key areas that attracted visitor interest. The response highlighted growing demand for efficient, modern and sustainable manufacturing solutions.

G Vijay Kumar, Regional Sales Manager – South India – HP Designjet, Pagewide & Latex Printer, HP Inc. said, “From the HP brand, we are participating for the first time in South India; we have been participating in other regions, but with Messe Frankfurt, we have taken a chance for Chennai at this edition. We are feeling so happy after seeing the response; the customers are flooding in. We did not expect such a great response. This is our first experience in South India, and customers are also happy because earlier they didn’t have space to find HP in the expo, so we have filled that gap with the help of the organisers and are looking forward to the future shows.”

Surat-based True Colors, which manufactures inks and sublimation papers and has expanded into commercial printing, also introduced three products at Print Expo. These included a digital book printer, an integrated printing and cutting system, and an embellishment printer offering foiling, spot UV and embossing capabilities.

Gulshan Kumar, General Manager (Business Head) – Commercial (Inkjet Printing Division), True Colors, said, “The response has been pretty good, and we have very serious customers. We have closed some business during the show and are expecting more after the event. South India is the region in India where people tend to adopt new technologies faster than in other regions. South is a very mature market for commercial printing, and people tend to adopt new technologies. Book printing, though not a new concept, has been in the market for quite some time, but the market is now maturing. A lot of people are now showing interest, and they want to move towards short-run printing and print-on-demand requirements.”

The exhibitions also provided opportunities for manufacturers, distributors, dealers and end users to connect directly, understand emerging technologies and explore solutions for improving their businesses. Live demonstrations further helped exhibitors showcase their products and engage with potential customers.

Vivek Sharma, CEO, Aditya Flex, said, “There was very nice footfall. It was a very meaningful crowd for us; we also got some good leads. Earlier it was more or less only South-based people visiting the show, but what we have seen this time is that visitors from West, Central and East India are also coming in, so it’s like we are getting more exposure; rather, I would say, it was a good one.”

The successful conclusion of the 2026 editions reinforces the role of Print Expo Chennai and Media Expo Chennai as sourcing and networking platforms for the print, signage, branding and visual communications industries.

The organisers thanked exhibitors, visitors, industry associations, media partners and other stakeholders for their support and said the upcoming editions are expected to feature a wider range of technologies, innovations and business opportunities.
