DLF celebrated the 80th Independence Day with its flagship community event, the ‘Freedom Run’, at DLF Midtown, Moti Nagar. The community run commenced at 7:00 am from DLF Midtown Plaza, Shivaji Marg, with more than 500 residents participating.
The event brought together residents across age groups, who ran, walked and jogged together while embracing the spirit of unity, fitness and community. Following the run, the celebrations continued with the hoisting of the national flag and a series of engaging activities.
DLF has been organising the ‘Freedom Run’ as its flagship Independence Day initiative for several years. The event began at DLF5 in Gurugram and has since expanded to other DLF locations, including DLF Midtown.
Beyond commemorating Independence Day, the initiative aims to promote physical well-being and encourage residents to adopt an active lifestyle while strengthening community connections.
A resident of DLF ONE Midtown, said, “The Freedom Run is a special occasion for our community to come together and celebrate Independence Day. It was wonderful to see residents of different age groups participate and enjoy the event together. Along with celebrating our freedom, the run also encourages us to stay active and healthy, while creating a stronger sense of community.”
The strong turnout highlighted the collective spirit of the DLF Midtown community. With the motto “Viksit Bharat,” participants pledged to honour the legacy of those who fought for India’s freedom and contribute towards the country’s continued progress and prosperity.
