The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) has unveiled Second Nature, a groundbreaking immersive art exhibition exploring the evolving relationship between humans, technology, and the natural world.
On view at the Art House from July 3, 2026, to January 10, 2027, the exhibition features nine large-scale immersive installations by internationally acclaimed artists and collectives including Random International, teamLab, A.A.Murakami, Simon Heijdens and Es Devlin. The works are being presented in India for the first time.
Spanning all four floors of the Art House, Second Nature brings together artists working at the intersection of art and technology. The exhibition is organised by the co-founder and curator of experiential art venture Superblue and curated by Superblue co-founder Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst and head of curatorial Margot Mottaz.
Isha Ambani said, “Today, art is evolving beyond traditional forms, shaped not only by human imagination but also by intelligent systems learning to interpret the world around us. With Second Nature, we wanted to bring an experience for the country that sparks curiosity, emotion, and reflection, an exploration of how technology, nature, and human creativity are becoming increasingly intertwined. This exhibition invites audiences into a dialogue with the future, one that already feels strikingly real.”
Rather than focusing on passive viewing, Second Nature encourages visitors to physically engage with the artworks. The installations respond dynamically to their surroundings and visitor interaction, transforming digital systems into immersive environments.
Through sensory and interactive experiences, the exhibition examines themes such as technology, algorithms, natural cycles, human agency, decay and rebirth. It explores how the boundaries between humans, nature and technology are increasingly beginning to dissolve.
The exhibition is part of NMACC’s larger vision of bringing the best of India to the world and the best of the world to India. The Art House has previously hosted exhibitions featuring acclaimed artists including Doug Aitken, Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, as well as presentations by the Dia Art Foundation.

With Second Nature, NMACC continues to expand its programming around immersive and experiential art, giving audiences an opportunity to experience works that sit at the intersection of creativity, technology and the natural world.
