ICC Floats Tender for Marketing and PR Services for Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027

The International Cricket Council (ICC), through its wholly owned subsidiary ICC Business Corporation FZ LLC (IBC), has initiated a tender process to appoint a service provider for Marketing and PR services for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027.

The tournament is scheduled to take place across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia in October–November 2027. The appointed agency will be responsible for developing and delivering an integrated marketing and communications plan aimed at building awareness, driving engagement and generating excitement among cricket fans globally in the lead-up to and throughout the tournament.

The selected Marketing & PR Services Provider will work closely with the ICC, the Cricket World Cup Local Organising Committee (LOC) and other relevant stakeholders. The scope will include campaign strategy, creative and content development, milestone activation delivery, media engagement and amplification across key markets, with a focus on delivering an effective and measurable campaign.

Tender Details

Interested agencies can request the tender documentation by emailing marketingitt@icc-cricket.com with the subject line “[AGENCY NAME] – ICC MEN’S CWC 2027 – Marketing & PR Services.”

The deadline to request the tender documentation is 5:00 PM GST on August 27, 2026.

Applicants are required to submit their full legal name, company number and registered address, along with a signed non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Agencies must also provide a downloadable company portfolio, ideally in PDF format and limited to 15 pages, highlighting credible experience in delivering Marketing & PR services for major global sporting events, particularly in Southern Africa.

Applicants must also provide the contact details of their project lead. The ICC has stated that agencies without suitable experience, supported by relevant case studies and examples, will be deemed ineligible to receive the Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation.

Following the submission of expressions of interest, IBC will issue the project brief to applicants that meet the selection criteria and have signed the ICC’s standard NDA.

The tender comes ahead of the 2027 Men’s Cricket World Cup, which will bring the global cricket community to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. With the ICC seeking an integrated marketing and communications partner, the mandate presents an opportunity for agencies with experience in large-scale sporting events to play a key role in building the tournament’s global profile and fan engagement.
