Saregama India Reports Strong Q1 FY27 Growth Across Music, Live Events and Artiste Management

Saregama India has started FY27 on a strong note, reporting significant growth across its core music and live entertainment businesses for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

The RPSG Group company recorded a strong rise in music revenue, rapid expansion in live events and continued growth in its artiste management business during the quarter. The company also continued to reshape its video business as part of its broader content strategy.

Music Business Leads Growth

Saregama’s music business generated revenue of Rs 230.6 crore during the quarter, registering a 39% year-on-year increase. Music EBITDA grew 36% to Rs 139.8 crore, while net margin from the segment increased 31% to Rs 99.6 crore.

The performance was supported by the continued strength of Saregama’s music catalogue, licensing business and digital monetisation efforts.

During the quarter, the company released more than 750 film and non-film tracks across Hindi, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

These releases collectively generated more than 250 million streams and views across Spotify and YouTube.

Among the key releases were the Hindi film soundtrack Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam), which featured in Spotify’s Weekly Top 200 Albums (India), the Malayalam film album Athiradi, and the Marathi non-film single Ved Lavla, featuring managed artiste Neel Salekar.

Live Events Become a Key Growth Driver

Saregama’s live entertainment business emerged as the company’s fastest-growing segment during the quarter. Revenue increased 214% year-on-year to Rs 16 crore.

The growth was driven by a broader portfolio of live properties spanning concerts, devotional events, experiential formats and stand-up comedy.

The company expanded its live entertainment offerings with performances by personalities including Jaya Kishori, Manoj Muntashir, Backstage Sibling and Manhar Seth.

The diversification reflects Saregama’s strategy of expanding its live business beyond traditional music concerts and creating a wider entertainment portfolio.

Artiste Management Continues to Expand

Saregama also strengthened its artiste management business during the quarter, onboarding 33 new artistes.

Its overall roster now includes more than 300 artistes, with a combined digital audience of over 440 million followers.

The company’s growing artiste portfolio is also supporting its music releases, live entertainment properties and brand partnership opportunities.

Strong Brand Partnerships

Brand partnerships remained another important part of Saregama’s entertainment ecosystem. During the quarter, the company collaborated with brands including Visa, HUL, Myntra, Godrej and Bharat Matrimony.

Saregama also continued to monetise its extensive music catalogue through projects such as Cocktail 2, Raakh on Prime Video and the Gujarati film Laalo.

Video Business Undergoes Strategic Shift

Saregama’s video business reported revenue of Rs 17 crore during the quarter.

The segment continues to undergo a strategic transition, with the company reducing its in-house film production activities while increasing its investment in Bhansali Productions.

The shift is part of Saregama’s broader approach to its content business as it focuses on building a more scalable and diversified entertainment portfolio.

Digital Reach Crosses 680 Million

Saregama’s digital presence continued to grow during the quarter. Its owned and managed channels now reach more than 680 million followers and subscribers across platforms including YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.

The expanding digital footprint provides the company with a significant platform for music discovery, artiste promotion, content distribution and brand partnerships.

Overall, Saregama’s Q1 FY27 performance highlights its continued transformation into an integrated entertainment company. With music remaining at the core, the growing contribution from live events, artiste management, digital platforms and strategic content investments is helping the company build a broader and more diversified entertainment ecosystem.
