CzechTourism Strengthens India Outreach with Travel Trade Workshops in Hyderabad and Surat

CzechTourism has expanded its engagement with the Indian travel trade by hosting dedicated workshops in Hyderabad and Surat as part of its strategy to strengthen relationships across established and emerging outbound travel markets. The initiative follows the tourism board’s participation at the MICE India & Luxury Travel Congress (MILT) 2026 in Goa, where it connected with corporate travel planners, MICE buyers and luxury travel specialists.

The workshops were attended by more than 30 travel trade partners and showcased Czechia’s tourism offerings beyond Prague. Participants were introduced to the country’s historic towns, castles, wellness retreats, gastronomy, wine regions and nature-based experiences.

The sessions also highlighted Czechia’s growing appeal as a MICE destination, positioning Prague as a leading business events hub while promoting Brno as an emerging destination for corporate groups looking beyond traditional European cities.

Representatives from The Julius Prague also participated in the workshops, presenting the property’s premium accommodation and hospitality offerings. The sessions gave travel advisors insights into luxury stay options that can be included in leisure, group and incentive travel itineraries.

Highlighting the importance of regional engagement, Barbara Andelova, Head of Marketing – Middle East and India, CzechTourism, said, “Hyderabad and Surat are new markets for us from a travel trade engagement perspective, and these workshops have given us a valuable opportunity to understand them more closely. India is an incredibly diverse outbound market, and the needs of travellers can vary considerably across metros and affluent, fast-growing regional cities. By engaging directly with local partners, we are able to understand these nuances better and help them present Czechia in a way that is more relevant to their clients.”

Through these initiatives, CzechTourism aims to increase awareness of destinations beyond Prague and encourage travel partners to create itineraries featuring regions such as South Moravia, Karlovy Vary, South Bohemia and other lesser-explored parts of Czechia. The programme is part of the tourism board’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in India’s growing outbound travel market with support from VFS Global Tourism Services.
