Three Chennai-based women artists—Ezhil Aparajit, Kavitha Aravind and Radha Kannan—have come together for “Echoes of the Trio”, a contemporary and abstract group exhibition celebrating Indian culture, femininity and the sacred.
The exhibition, themed “Three Creators. One Story”, is being held at Sarala Art Gallery, Chennai, and is open to the public from July 27 to August 1, 2026. It was inaugurated by Ms. Anitha Pottamkulam, Director of Culture, DakshinaChitra.
Inspired by the collective’s emblem, an inverted triangle symbolising Shakti, the exhibition explores the feminine principle through themes of creation, sustenance and dissolution. Rather than presenting three individual showcases, the exhibition is conceived as a unified artistic conversation on womanhood, spirituality, cultural heritage and creative expression.
Ezhil Aparajit presents “Wild & Sacred”, a series that portrays wildlife as a symbol of divinity, strength and protection through acrylic and oil paintings inspired by Impressionist realism. Each artwork is accompanied by a chanted mantra, reflecting the artist’s spiritual practice.
Kavitha Aravind’s works celebrate ancient Indian traditions and the resilience of women. Using bold brushstrokes and vibrant colours, her paintings explore the many roles women play while reflecting on themes of dignity, strength and empowerment.
Radha Kannan showcases abstract works inspired by Indian heritage, nature and personal memory. Through layered textures and expressive forms, her art invites viewers to engage with emotion, cultural narratives and individual interpretation.
Together, the three artists present an exhibition that highlights diverse artistic styles while offering a shared exploration of identity, spirituality, memory and the enduring creative force of the feminine.
