CzechTourism Strengthens India Outreach with Trade Workshops in Hyderabad and Surat

CzechTourism continued its engagement with the Indian travel trade by hosting dedicated workshops in Hyderabad and Surat, as part of its efforts to strengthen relationships across established and emerging outbound travel markets in the country.

The workshops followed CzechTourism’s participation at the MICE India & Luxury Travel Congress (MILT) 2026 in Goa, where it connected with corporate travel decision-makers, MICE buyers and luxury travel specialists. The regional sessions provided an opportunity to further engage with travel professionals and explore opportunities across leisure, luxury, incentive travel and business events.

The workshops were attended by more than 30 travel trade partners and highlighted Czechia’s diverse tourism offerings beyond Prague, including historic towns, castles, wellness retreats, gastronomy, wine regions, nature experiences and unique venues for meetings and incentive programmes. The sessions also showcased Prague’s position as a leading MICE destination and Brno’s growing appeal for business events.

Representatives from The Julius Prague also participated, introducing the hotel’s accommodation and hospitality offerings for leisure, luxury and group travellers.

CzechTourism noted that Hyderabad and Surat represent distinct outbound travel markets. While Hyderabad has a strong base of affluent families, young professionals and corporate travellers, Surat is witnessing growing demand for family holidays, celebrations, incentive travel and multi-generational trips.

Barbara Andelova, Head of Marketing – Middle East and India, CzechTourism, said, “Hyderabad and Surat are new markets for us from a travel trade engagement perspective, and these workshops have given us a valuable opportunity to understand them more closely. India is an incredibly diverse outbound market, and the needs of travellers can vary considerably across metros and affluent, fast-growing regional cities. Every market brings a different set of expectations, interests and travel patterns. By engaging directly with local partners, we are able to understand these nuances better and help them present Czechia in a way that is more relevant to their clients.”

Through these regional trade engagements, CzechTourism aims to improve destination knowledge among travel partners and encourage itineraries that combine Prague with destinations such as South Moravia, Karlovy Vary, South Bohemia and other lesser-explored regions of Czechia.
