Every once in a while, the events industry witnesses a technology that doesn’t just improve productions—it changes audience behaviour forever.
LED walls did it. Projection mapping did it. Today, drone shows have done exactly that.
Walk into any major festival, stadium spectacle, brand launch or national celebration, and you’ll notice something remarkable. Thousands of people aren’t looking at the stage anymore—they’re looking up. That shift didn’t happen overnight. It took years of engineering, experimentation and relentless storytelling, and few companies have influenced that transformation as profoundly as BotLab Dynamics.

As the company celebrates ten years, its journey reflects something much larger than business success. It mirrors the evolution of India’s live entertainment industry itself—from conventional productions to immersive experiences where technology becomes emotion.
More Than a Drone Show Company
Calling BotLab Dynamics a drone show company almost feels incomplete.
Over the past decade, the company has executed more than 700 drone shows across India and international markets, operates one of the world’s largest drone fleets with over 10,000 drones, and holds seven Guinness World Records. Those achievements alone would place it among the global leaders in aerial entertainment. Yet, its biggest contribution goes beyond numbers.

BotLab fundamentally changed what audiences expect from live events. A decade ago, drone technology was largely associated with aerial photography and industrial applications. Today, drones have become storytellers—painting mythology during festivals, unveiling products for global brands, celebrating sporting victories, honouring national milestones and creating moments that millions experience together.
That transformation didn’t happen by accident. BotLab played a defining role in turning drones from flying machines into a powerful storytelling medium.
The Company That Changed the Language of Live Experiences
The most successful technologies eventually become invisible because they become part of the creative vocabulary. Nobody talks about LED walls anymore—they’re simply expected. Drone shows are rapidly following the same path.

What once felt futuristic is now becoming an essential creative tool for event planners, governments, brands and entertainment producers. Much of that momentum has been driven by companies willing to push the limits of what’s possible, and BotLab has been one of the most influential among them.
Rather than importing existing technology, founders Tanmay Bunkar, Anuj Barnwal and Dr. Sarita Ahlawat built an indigenous drone ecosystem from the ground up. Flight controllers, communication systems, navigation modules, swarm intelligence and mission software were all developed in-house. That decision wasn’t simply about manufacturing; it created complete creative freedom. Owning every layer of the technology meant that every ambitious artistic idea could become reality.

Thousands of drones could now move with centimetre-level precision, transforming the night sky into a living canvas. It was at that point that drone shows stopped being demonstrations of technology and became experiences people genuinely connected with.
Experiential Marketing Found Its Biggest Canvas
The marketing industry has always searched for new ways to cut through clutter. BotLab chose to rise above it—quite literally.
As attention spans shrank, brands began looking for experiences that audiences would willingly record, share and remember. Drone shows emerged as one of the most powerful answers. Companies including Amazon, Flipkart, Netflix, Zomato, Paytm, Amul, Godrej Properties, JK Cement and many others discovered that the night sky could become their most memorable advertising medium.

A product launch was no longer confined to a stage, and a campaign no longer had to stay within the boundaries of a venue. Instead of interrupting audiences, brands created shared moments that people voluntarily became part of, generating earned media, social conversations and emotional recall in ways traditional event branding rarely can.
Creating the Moments Everyone Remembers
Over the past decade, BotLab has become synonymous with some of India’s biggest celebrations. Its drone shows have illuminated the Ambani pre-wedding celebrations, Mahakumbh, the TATA IPL Opening Ceremony, IIFA, the National Games, the Startup20 Summit, Diwali Deepotsav in Ayodhya, and countless state celebrations.

Its aerial storytelling has also shared the stage with global artists including Alan Walker, Martin Garrix, Karan Aujla and Devi Sri Prasad, proving that drones are no longer visual add-ons—they are performers in their own right.
Perhaps more importantly, BotLab demonstrated that technology can amplify culture rather than compete with it. Centuries-old traditions found new expression through drone shows, creating experiences that resonated equally with younger audiences discovering them on social media and older generations witnessing them in person.
