Havells mYOUsic Makes Jharkhand Debut with Dumka Edition

Havells India has successfully concluded the Dumka chapter of Havells mYOUsic, marking the platform’s debut in Jharkhand and furthering its mission to support grassroots music talent across India. Held on July 12 at the Convention Centre, Dumka, the event brought together more than 300 artists and music enthusiasts for a day of performances, mentorship, and creative exchange.

Designed as an artist-first platform, Havells mYOUsic focuses on mentorship, industry exposure, and long-term artist development. The Dumka edition gave emerging musicians an opportunity to perform original music, interact with industry professionals, and become part of India’s growing independent music ecosystem.

The event featured singers, lyricists, composers, music producers, and independent musicians, alongside performances by local artists including Mr. Tribe, Blaze, Alvin Rozario, Francis Xalxo, Raju Soren, Tom Murmu, and Leonard Hansda. Participants also attended knowledge-sharing sessions led by lyricist Geet Sagar, musician and educator Vasav Vashisht, music producer Jatin Bisht, and Rohith Sobti, Curator and Co-Founder of The Shakti Collective. The programme concluded with an open mic for emerging artists.

Following successful editions in Delhi and Indore, Havells mYOUsic has received over 3,000 registrations and witnessed more than 850 artists audition on-ground across three cities. Selected participants will now progress to the next phase, which includes structured mentorship, artist bootcamps, and opportunities to create original music and audio-visual content.

Commenting on the initiative, Mukesh Kumar Jain, Vice President, Havells India, said, “Havells has always believed in empowering people and creating meaningful opportunities. Through Havells mYOUsic, we are extending that commitment to India’s independent music community by creating a platform where talent can be discovered, nurtured and encouraged to grow. The response in Dumka has been truly heartening and reinforces our belief that exceptional talent exists in every corner of the country.”
