The Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) (HRAWI) organized the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India’s (FSSAI) latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) programme at Hotel Manoshanti in Goa on July 14, 2026.
The training programme covered essential topics including food handling, hygiene, sanitation and waste management. It was conducted by Praveen Andrews, Trainer, Parikshan FSS Pvt. Ltd., and was attended by 30 hospitality professionals. The programme was aimed at imparting practical insights on strengthening food safety measures and reinforcing industry best practices.
The training session was inaugurated by Praveen Andrews and Trupti Pawar, Secretary General, HRAWI.

HRAWI has successfully trained and certified 3,921 hospitality professionals through its FoSTaC and FSSAI’s Management Training Program. The programme is designed to promote a culture of food safety by equipping industry professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to uphold the highest standards in daily operations.
