Mercedes-Benz India Announces Leadership Changes in Sales & Marketing Function Effective September 1, 2026

Mercedes-Benz India has announced a series of leadership changes within its Sales & Marketing function, reinforcing the company’s focus on enhancing customer experiences through real-time data-led strategies, artificial intelligence (AI) deployment, and the integration of retail finance into the customer journey. The appointments also reflect Mercedes-Benz’s emphasis on developing internal talent, fostering cross-functional leadership, and preparing future leaders within the organization.

The organizational changes will take effect from September 1, 2026.

As part of the changes, Nandita Godbole, currently General Manager, Digital Customer Unit, has been appointed as the new Head of Marketing, succeeding Amrit Baid. Amrit Baid will assume the role of General Manager, Retail Finance & Pre-Owned Cars.

In another key change, Jamsheed Bhadha, currently General Manager, Product Planning & Sales Planning, will move to a new role within Mercedes-Benz in Dubai. He will be succeeded by Sanjay Kochar, who currently serves as General Manager, TEV & BEV Sales.

Announcing the organizational changes, Brendon Sissing, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz India, commented:

“Our people remain the driving force behind Mercedes-Benz’s customer centricity and sustained success. These organizational changes reinforce our commitment to creating exceptional customer experiences using real time data strategies, AI deployment, and integrated business capabilities, while building future-ready leaders by offering a broader cross-functional exposure to our talents. We thank our colleagues for their invaluable contributions and unwavering passion in making Mercedes-Benz the most desirable luxury brand. We wish them continued success in their new roles as they will shape the next chapter of our innovation-led growth.”

Mercedes-Benz India said Nandita Godbole has previously held key roles across Marketing, Retail Sales, and the Digital Customer Unit, where she has driven business growth through customer-centric and data-led strategies. Her appointment reflects the company’s growing emphasis on deploying AI solutions to deliver an evolved customer experience.

The company said Godbole has led AI-driven enhancements to Mercedes-Benz’s customer journey by transforming disconnected customer touchpoints into seamless, intelligent experiences. In her new role as Head of Marketing, her priorities will include expanding the use of real-time data and predictive insights to anticipate customer needs, deliver highly personalized interactions, and foster meaningful engagement throughout every stage of the customer journey.

Following a successful tenure leading Marketing & Customer Experience, during which Mercedes-Benz India launched several products and executed brand and retail marketing campaigns including Dreams Day, Wish Box, and G-Tribe, Amrit Baid will now head the company’s Retail Finance & Pre-Owned Cars business.

Mercedes-Benz India said its Retail Finance business has steadily grown in importance and currently supports more than 50% of the company’s total vehicle retail sales through financing programmes such as Star Agility. The business has expanded to a portfolio exceeding INR 15,000 crore, and Baid’s appointment is aimed at further integrating retail finance into the overall Mercedes-Benz customer journey.
