Kabuni Launches AI-Powered Platform to Make Elite Cricket Coaching Accessible Worldwide

Kabuni, a new AI-powered sports technology platform, officially launched at Playtime 2026 in Mumbai, introducing an innovative approach to cricket coaching aimed at making elite-level training accessible to players around the world.

Combining sport, technology, and interactive learning, Kabuni delivers real-time, personalised coaching through artificial intelligence, allowing cricketers of all skill levels to improve their performance anytime and anywhere.

As part of its launch, the platform introduced its roster of Super Coaches, featuring cricket legends Sourav Ganguly, Shane Watson, AB de Villiers, and Shreyas Iyer. These renowned players will help inspire and mentor young athletes through interactive challenges and youth competitions.

Founded by Nimesh Patel, Kabuni was created to address barriers that often prevent young athletes from accessing quality coaching and development opportunities. The platform aims to encourage more active lifestyles by replacing passive screen time with engaging sports experiences.

At the core of the platform is Kabuni PlayOS, a proprietary technology that analyses live play and evaluates key aspects of performance such as timing, balance, alignment, footwork, and sequencing. Using performance data from elite cricketers, the platform provides instant feedback designed to help players improve their game.

India has been selected as the launch market due to its deep cricket culture and large player base. Following an initial rollout in India and partnerships with key sporting organisations, Kabuni plans to expand globally later this year.

The launch also coincides with the introduction of the nationwide campaign, “Do You Want to Play for a Legend?”, which offers young cricketers aged 12 to 16 the chance to train on the platform, participate in nationwide trials, and compete for a place on teams led by the Super Coaches.

Nimesh Patel, Founder, Kabuni said, “For too many young cricketers in India, the biggest barriers are access to high-quality coaching, competitive pathways, and consistent development. Kabuni is designed to change that. By combining AI-powered coaching with new youth competitions, we’re creating a platform where every young player can train, improve and be recognised – wherever they are, whatever their background. India is just the beginning. What we’re building here is a blueprint for the future of sport, one that we believe can scale globally, unlocking potential and creating opportunities for the next generation of athletes everywhere.”

By making elite coaching more affordable and accessible, Kabuni aims to support players of all backgrounds while complementing the role of traditional coaches. The platform is designed to help schools, academies, and sporting organisations identify talent, develop skills, and create new pathways for young athletes to succeed.
