Boat has elevated Vedansh Kumar to the position of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), marking a significant milestone in his journey with the consumer electronics and wearables brand.
Kumar shared the announcement through a LinkedIn post, reflecting on his experience with boAt and expressing gratitude to the company’s leadership team for their guidance and support.
Vedansh Kumar wrote, “There are brands you admire from a distance and then there are brands that make you want to be in the room. boAt Lifestyle was always the second kind for me. It felt alive in a way most brands spend years trying to manufacture. So when the opportunity came to work with the team that actually built it, I didn’t think twice. Today, it means a lot to share that I’m now Chief Marketing Officer of this incredible company.”
He also thanked boAt co-founders Aman Gupta and Sameer Mehta, CEO Gaurav Nayyar, and his colleagues for contributing to his growth within the organisation.
Kumar joined boAt in August 2023 as Head of Brand Marketing and has since played a key role in strengthening the brand’s marketing and consumer engagement initiatives.
Before joining boAt, he served as Creative Lead at Zomato. Over the years, he has held leadership positions at Dentsu Impact, Humour Me, MullenLowe Lintas Group, Publicis Groupe, and J. Walter Thompson Worldwide, building extensive experience across advertising, creative strategy, and brand management.
His work has spanned a wide range of sectors, including consumer goods, food, lifestyle, and technology.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Kumar will now lead boAt’s overall marketing function as the brand continues to expand its presence in the highly competitive audio, wearables, and consumer technology segments.
The promotion reflects boAt’s commitment to developing internal talent while continuing to strengthen its connection with India’s growing base of digitally connected consumers.
