A unique three-week golf swing in Morocco is providing aspiring golfers with a direct pathway from the Asian Development Tour (ADT) to the Asian Tour and ultimately to The International Series, one of the premier platforms in international golf.
For the first time, Morocco is hosting a structured progression route that allows players to compete across three successive levels of professional golf within the same country. The initiative is the result of a collaborative effort between the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, the Moroccan National Tourism Office, Indian Golf Premiere League (IGPL), the Asian Tour, and The International Series.
The journey began at the am green IGPL Morocco Rising Stars 2026 at Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort in El Jadida, where Thailand’s Tanapat Pichaikool and Bangladesh’s Siddikur Rahman secured qualification for the ongoing am green IGPL Bharath Classic.
Players competing in the Bharath Classic now have the opportunity to earn places in the upcoming International Series Morocco presented by Visit Morocco. Successful qualifiers will advance to compete alongside some of the biggest names in world golf, including Major champions and LIV Golf stars.
Speaking about the initiative, Rahul Singh, Head of The International Series, said, “At The International Series, we want to create more than just tournaments. We want to help build an ecosystem where players can progress, gain exposure to the highest levels of the game and ultimately realise their potential. This Morocco swing is a great example of what can be achieved when partners come together with that shared ambition.”
The International Series Morocco will feature a strong field including Major champions Bubba Watson and Sergio Garcia, LIV Golf players Abraham Ancer and Branden Grace, defending champion Scott Vincent, and several leading Asian Tour professionals.
The initiative is also helping promote local golf development. This week’s am green IGPL Bharath Classic includes 12 Moroccan players, among them eight amateurs, led by home favourite Ayoub Lguirati. Their participation reflects the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation’s commitment to creating opportunities for homegrown talent to compete at an international level.
Supporting the initiative is IGPL, a strategic partner of both the Asian Tour and The International Series. Through its title sponsorship of the events in El Jadida, IGPL continues to help emerging Indian golfers gain valuable international exposure and compete against stronger fields.
The Morocco swing highlights how collaboration between global golf stakeholders can create meaningful opportunities for emerging players while strengthening the sport’s development pathway across regions.
