Ministry of Tourism to Showcase India’s Diverse Tourism Offerings at WTM London

The Ministry of Tourism is set to participate in the World Travel Market (WTM) London, one of the world’s leading travel and tourism exhibitions. The three-day event will conclude on November 7 and will bring together tourism boards, travel companies, and industry stakeholders from across the globe.

India will be represented by a 50-member delegation comprising representatives from State Governments, inbound tour operators, airlines, and hospitality companies. The delegation will showcase the country’s diverse tourism offerings to international audiences and travel trade partners.

A key highlight of India’s participation will be the India Pavilion, designed to present the country’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, and tourism potential. This year’s pavilion will focus on Wedding Tourism, Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism, and the upcoming Mahakumbh, reflecting India’s efforts to strengthen its position in high-value tourism segments.

To showcase India’s wedding tourism capabilities, the pavilion will feature a specially designed mock Mandapam, offering visitors an immersive experience of the grandeur and vibrancy associated with Indian wedding celebrations. The installation aims to highlight India’s growing appeal as a destination for luxury weddings and cultural events.

The participation forms part of the Ministry of Tourism’s broader strategy to boost inbound tourism and position India as a preferred global travel destination. By promoting a mix of cultural, business, and spiritual tourism experiences, the country seeks to attract a wider range of international travellers.

India’s focus on MICE tourism also underlines its ambition to emerge as a leading destination for international conferences, exhibitions, and corporate events, supported by expanding infrastructure and improved global connectivity.

Through its presence at WTM London, the Ministry of Tourism aims to strengthen engagement with global travel trade partners, create new business opportunities, and reinforce India’s image as a destination offering diverse experiences across leisure, culture, spirituality, and business travel.
