KAI India appoints Chandan Biswal as Head of Marketing

KAI India has appointed Chandan Biswal as Head of Marketing, reinforcing the company’s focus on strategic growth, digital commerce and consumer engagement in the Indian market.

In his new role, Biswal will lead the company’s strategic planning, marketing and e-commerce division, with a focus on accelerating market expansion, strengthening brand visibility and driving digital commerce growth across India.

Biswal brings more than two decades of experience in the consumer goods industry. An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, he has worked across integrated marketing, digital transformation, strategic planning and business expansion initiatives spanning General Trade, Modern Trade, e-commerce and D2C channels.

Prior to joining KAI India, Biswal served as Chief Marketing Officer at Greenply Samet. Over the course of his career, he has also worked with brands including Essity, Cadbury and Cholayil.

He added that the company sees strong growth potential in India as consumer aspirations evolve, particularly among younger consumers and modern households seeking premium yet functional products inspired by Japanese craftsmanship.

The appointment comes as KAI India looks to strengthen its marketing and e-commerce capabilities while building deeper consumer engagement across both offline retail and digital platforms.

With increasing competition in lifestyle, kitchenware and personal care segments, the company is expected to focus on premium positioning, omnichannel visibility and digitally driven consumer outreach as part of its next phase of growth.
