Mysuru is set to host one of Karnataka’s major tourism industry events next month as the Mysuru Travel Mart (MTM) 2026 prepares to bring together tourism stakeholders, exhibitors, policymakers and international buyers.

Scheduled to take place from June 5 to 7 at the JCAC, Vijayanagar in Mysuru, the event is being organised by the Mysuru Travels Association in collaboration with tourism bodies and hospitality stakeholders. The event aims to strengthen Karnataka’s tourism economy while promoting Mysuru and the state as key domestic and international travel destinations.

The travel mart is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors and 250 hosted buyers, alongside exhibitors from across India including Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Kerala, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir and Kodagu. International tourism boards are also expected to participate.

According to organisers, MTM 2026 is being conducted in collaboration with the Central and State Tourism Departments, the Karnataka Tourism Department, the Mysore Hotel Owners Association and SKAL International Mysuru.

The event will be inaugurated on June 5 by Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat along with Karnataka Tourism Minister H K Patil and other dignitaries.

A key focus area this year will be sustainability and tourism-led economic growth. On June 6, industry experts will participate in panel discussions on topics including media and tourism, film tourism in Mysuru and sustainable tourism development.

The programme will also feature the SKAL International Mysuru Tourism and Hospitality Awards, recognising 15 individuals and organisations for their contribution to the tourism and hospitality industry.

Organisers believe the event will help generate economic opportunities for Karnataka through hospitality demand, business networking, tourism services and future investment prospects, while positioning Mysuru as a growing tourism and leisure destination.
