Mumbai Comic Con 2026 concluded on a high note at the Jio World Convention Centre on May 9 and 10, drawing over 55,000 fans across the weekend. The event brought together enthusiasts of comics, anime, gaming, cosplay, collectibles, and pop culture from across the country.

Presented by Maruti Suzuki Arena and powered by Crunchyroll, the event was supported by the Government of Maharashtra Industries Department and MAITRI (Maharashtra Industry, Trade, and Investment Facilitation Cell). The convention transformed the venue into a vibrant hub of fandom, featuring immersive experiences, live performances, gaming zones, cosplay showcases, and fan-led activities.
Fans from across India attended the two-day event, with many arriving in cosplay and participating in meetups, competitions, and interactive sessions. The show floor featured over 90 exhibitors, artists, publishers, and creators, along with exclusive merchandise launches and packed panel discussions focused on comics, animation, and storytelling.

Akshat Rathee said, “Mumbai has a very distinct fan culture because this city genuinely loves shared experiences. Whether it’s concerts, cricket, festivals, or live events, people here always show up with a lot of energy, and Comic Con was no different. What stood out this weekend was how naturally the city turned Comic Con into part of its social culture. You had college groups, working professionals, creators, and fandom communities all spending their weekend together at the venue, moving between cosplay meetups, stage performances, gaming zones, and merch stalls. That kind of all-day participation is something Mumbai brings really well.”
Shefali Johnson added, “Mumbai is always special for us because it’s the final show of the Comic Con season, and there’s no better city for a finale. As one of the biggest entertainment capitals, the audience here naturally connects very deeply with storytelling and fandom culture. What I love about Mumbai is that you will see people come straight from offices, college groups travelling across local train lines in cosplay, and fans waiting for hours just to catch a performance or meet their favourite creators. The city moves fast, people work incredibly hard, but when Mumbai celebrates something it loves, it goes all in. That’s why Mumbai always gives us the perfect showstopper ending to the season. And we can’t wait to come back again!”

This year’s international lineup featured acclaimed comic book artist Ramón K. Pérez, known for his work on The Amazing Spider-Man and All-New Hawkeye. Anime fans also witnessed major on-ground activations featuring voice actor Taito Ban and producer Atsushi Kaneko from Solo Leveling.
The event also featured live performances by legendary singer Hiroshi Kitadani, known for the iconic anime track We Are!, and a high-energy set by DJ Kazu. Fans additionally participated in meet-and-greet sessions with Yvon Tremblay, Christian Tremblay, and Harry Hambley.
Mumbai Comic Con 2026 also continued to support India’s growing creator economy by spotlighting independent artists and emerging storytellers while creating opportunities for global brands to engage with India’s expanding fandom community.
With record-breaking attendance, international performances, and fan engagement across every corner of the venue, Mumbai Comic Con 2026 concluded as one of the biggest celebrations of comics, anime, and pop culture in the country.
