Inventum Global has entered into an exclusive strategic partnership with Travco Group to strengthen Egypt’s position in the global MICE and destination wedding market.
Under the agreement, Travco Group will serve as the sole authorised local partner for all MICE and destination wedding operations of Inventum Global in Egypt. The collaboration is designed to combine Inventum Global’s international demand generation and operational expertise with Travco Group’s extensive local infrastructure and tourism capabilities.
The partnership introduces a model that moves beyond the traditional destination management company (DMC) framework. Inventum Global stated that its approach is centred on simultaneously supporting agency partners, developing destinations, and leveraging strong local partnerships through a structured system that operates independently of geography.
For agency partners, the model is intended to address operational challenges in cross-border projects, including fragmented supply chains and inconsistent service standards. The company said it provides a dedicated infrastructure designed to ensure competitive pricing, high service standards, and a system that mitigates commercial, legal, and operational risks.
From a destination perspective, the model focuses on generating higher-quality demand through targeted global marketing strategies and an established MICE and wedding network. This is aimed at enhancing recognition and supporting sustainable demand growth for destinations such as Egypt.
For local partners, the structure is based on exclusive collaborations with established regional players. Within this framework, local partners contribute infrastructure, procurement, and operational authority, while Inventum Global drives global demand, source market access, and strategic oversight.
Bünyat Özpak, Founding Partner of Inventum Global, said, “Since 2017, we have been actively operating in Egypt with our own team. However, with this strategic agreement with Travco, we have taken this to a completely different level.
Years ago, we clearly realized that agencies no longer need just good pricing and standard service. These are already the minimum requirements. The classical DMC approach has long been insufficient in managing today’s complex risks. Destinations also require strong promotion and development. We recognized this and redesigned our model.
The real need is a system supported by a strong local structure, where surprises are minimized, risks are shared, and processes are secured end-to-end. Within this structure we established with Travco, our agencies benefit from massive logistics, purchasing power, accommodation, and transportation infrastructure, while leaving all local assurance and operational burden to us.
They focus on their own business, and the system handles the rest.
In this model, the agency wins, the destination wins, and the local partnership wins. It is truly a win-win-win model. We see this as the natural evolution of the industry. In the future, those who try to do everything alone will not succeed; those who can integrate the right structures with the right partnerships will. Seeing this reflected today from both destinations and agencies confirms that we are on the right path.”
Travco Group, the local partner in the agreement, operates one of the largest tourism infrastructures in Egypt. Its portfolio includes more than 75 hotels and resorts under JAZ Hotel Group, over 20,000 rooms across multiple regions, a fleet of 28 cruise ships operating between Luxor and Aswan, and a nationwide logistics network of over 700 vehicles. The company also serves as a major inbound tourism operator, bringing more than one million visitors to Egypt annually.
Amr Karim, Managing Director of Travco Travel, said, “As Travco, with our strong hotel portfolio, cruise fleet, and vast logistics network, we are a core part of the vision that builds Egypt’s tourism.
This exclusive strategic partnership with Inventum Global is a strategic investment that will position Egypt as a significantly stronger hub in the global MICE and destination wedding market. By combining our physical infrastructure strength with Inventum Global’s global vision and demand generation capacity, we promise a level of assurance to event professionals worldwide that has never been offered before.”
The partnership aims to position Egypt as a key hub for global MICE and destination wedding activity, targeting source markets including India and its diaspora, the CIS region, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and the United States.
Inventum Global is also the founder and main organiser of the International MICE & Wedding Forum (IMWF), which brings together industry decision-makers from over 70 countries annually and is held at leading international venues. The platform operates under the official main sponsorship of Turkish Airlines.
The collaboration is intended to create an integrated ecosystem capable of managing global demand traffic while strengthening Egypt’s competitiveness in the international events and destination wedding sector.
