Sony LIV has appointed Prashant Iyer as its Head – Marketing, marking his move from Netflix.
At Netflix, Iyer was involved in building the platform’s India social media presence, growing its follower base from around 500,000 to more than 55 million. He worked across over 250 campaigns spanning titles, brand initiatives and partnerships, contributing to engagement and organic reach metrics that were reported to exceed those of competitors.
In his most recent role as Director – Marketing, Iyer was part of the leadership team associated with a reported 15-fold increase in revenue and subscriptions over eight years. He also held a regional mandate as the only director-level social leader across Asia-Pacific, overseeing a community of more than 200 million followers.
Before joining Netflix, Iyer spent over three years at Nike, where he worked across digital brand commerce and key account management, including managing Myntra as a key digital account in India. He began his career in brand and digital marketing at Titan Company.
