Tishtar Parakh has been appointed as the Country Manager for India by Tourism New Zealand. Based in Mumbai, she will lead the organisation’s efforts to drive visitor demand and strengthen trade and industry partnerships across the Indian market.
Parakh brings relevant experience to the role, having previously served as Travel Trade Lead at VisitBritain, where she worked on destination marketing initiatives across trade and consumer segments in India.
Tourism is a key contributor to New Zealand’s economy and is the country’s second-largest export earner. The organisation highlighted that India continues to be an important market within its tourism strategy, with significant potential for future growth.
In her new role, Parakh is expected to work closely with travel trade partners, airlines and industry stakeholders to inspire more Indian travellers to explore New Zealand.
