Sandeep Ghosh has stepped down from his role as Group Country Manager for India and South Asia at Visa after serving in the position for over four years, the company confirmed.
According to reports citing a Visa spokesperson, the company has already identified his successor, with an official announcement expected shortly.
Ghosh joined Visa in March 2022 and was responsible for leading the company’s operations across India and South Asia. During his tenure, he played a key role in expanding Visa’s digital payments footprint in the region and strengthening partnerships with banks and fintech firms, at a time when India’s digital payments ecosystem has been witnessing rapid growth.
His leadership period coincided with a significant surge in digital transactions and deeper collaboration between global payment networks and local financial institutions, positioning Visa strongly in one of its most important growth markets.
