JK Tyre – WIAA Women’s Car Rally to Valley 2026 Flags Off from Mumbai with Over 200 Women Participants

The JK Tyre – WIAA Women’s Car Rally to Valley 2026 was flagged off from NSCI, Mumbai, in a vibrant ceremony that felt as festive as it was purposeful. The rally was flagged off by Nitin Dossa, Chairman, Western India Automobile Association (WIAA), along with JK Tyre officials, as the venue came alive well before the engines started.

More than 200 women participants took part in the rally, arriving in themed attire and decorating their vehicles around causes such as women empowerment, cancer awareness, and gender equality. Families and supporters gathered at the start point, adding to the celebratory atmosphere before the participants set off towards the Novotel Imagicaa hotel in Khopoli.

The rally follows the Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) format, where precision, consistency, and teamwork are more important than speed. Contestants navigated out of Mumbai onto the hilly roads, covering approximately 125 km to reach Khopoli. The format tests strategy and accuracy, making it as much about planning as driving skill.

Srinivasu Allaphan, Director- Sales & Marketing, JK Tyre & Industries said, “For over a decade, we have been committed to encouraging women’s participation in motorsport, and the JK Tyre–WIAA Women’s Car Rally to Valley stands as a testament to that vision. Now a marquee event, the rally celebrates the spirit of motorsport while championing important social causes. We are encouraged by the strong enthusiasm of the participants as we continue to build greater awareness around road safety.”

Organised by the Western India Automobile Association (WIAA), a 107-year-old non-profit organisation dedicated to safe mobility, road safety awareness, environmental sustainability, and policy advocacy, the rally has evolved beyond a motorsport event into a platform celebrating womanhood and resilience. This year’s edition also echoed global road safety campaigns such as #CommitToLife and #BeSafeBeStrong.

Over the years, JK Tyre has built a strong presence in Indian motorsport and has consistently promoted women’s participation through dedicated initiatives. Its continued association with the WIAA Women’s Car Rally to Valley highlights its belief in motorsport as a platform for meaningful change, both on and off the road.
