Rajalakshmi Engineering College in Thandalam, Chennai, witnessed an extraordinary turnout as RECHARGE 2026 opened to a footfall of over 18,000 students on Day 1, setting a new benchmark for college culturals in India.
In a historic first for a college campus, A. R. Rahman delivered a live performance that transformed the cultural fest into a landmark musical spectacle. His presence elevated the scale and significance of the event, making it a memorable moment for students and organizers alike.

The evening also featured performances by renowned artists including Shweta Mohan, Rakshita Suresh, Amrutha Suresh, Nakul Abhyankar, Blaaze, Haricharan, Aditya R K, Nitesh Aher, and A. R. Ameen, who energized the audience with a vibrant lineup of music.

Following the response to Day 1, RECHARGE 2026 continues with a strong Day 2 lineup led by legendary dance icon Prabhu Deva. The day will also include appearances and performances by Saanvee Meghana, Nikki Galrani, Sayyeshaa, Shriya Saran, Anukeerthi Vyas, Samyuktha Shan, and Yashika Anand.


A special highlight of Day 2 will see faculty members join Prabhu Deva on stage, along with the college dance team “Rugged,” a group of students personally trained by him over the past month.
