The first edition of The MIX (A Mumbai Indians Experience), a first-of-its-kind fan experiential festival by Mumbai Indians and BookMyShow Live’s BrandLabs, concluded on a spectacular high, drawing full-capacity crowds and setting a new benchmark for fan engagement in India. Blending sport, music, and culture, the two-day festival delivered an immersive experience that resonated strongly with fans, with its Instagram handle garnering over 193 million video views.
Day 2 witnessed one of the most anticipated highlights as India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya made a surprise appearance at the MI Dugout. Fans gathered in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the star, with a few lucky attendees securing signed merchandise and selfies. He also visited the specially designed MI graffiti bus, adding to the excitement.

The day continued with an exclusive fireside chat featuring coach Kieron Pollard and captain Hardik Pandya. Hardik reflected on his journey with Mumbai Indians, the support of the Paltan, and the importance of perseverance, while Pollard shared insights into his favourite innings and transition from player to coach.
A Mumbai Indians spokesperson said, “The MIX was built with a simple intent to bring fans closer to Mumbai Indians in a way that feels real, immersive and participative. What we witnessed over the last two days was not just engagement, but genuine connection. When fans show up with that kind of energy and emotion, it reinforces that this is more than fandom – it’s family. This is the power of #OneFamily, and what makes this journey so special.”
Owen Roncon, Chief of Business – Branded IPs, BookMyShow said, “What stood out with The MIX was the way fans showed up not just for sport, but for everything that surrounds it. There is a growing appetite for experiences that bring together music, culture and community and we’re seeing fandom evolve into something far more participatory. For us, this was about creating a space where that energy could come together in a meaningful way. It reinforces the idea that the future of sport lies as much in cultural connection as it does in competition.”

The session gave fans a candid look into the journeys of two celebrated players, filled with dressing room stories and light-hearted moments. When asked about a song that mirrors his journey, Hardik Pandya named Apna Time Aayega by DIVINE, sharing how it inspired him through challenging times.
As the evening progressed, music took centre stage. Artists like GauriWho, Anyasa, and global electronic duo CamelPhat delivered high-energy performances, bringing the festival to a powerful close.

Day 1 had already set the tone with appearances from key Mumbai Indians players including Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, and Lasith Malinga, among others. The day also featured electrifying performances by Nucleya, Sanju Rathod, and DIVINE, who turned the crowd into a chorus with his popular tracks.
Beyond performances, The MIX offered a wide range of interactive experiences. From gaming zones and carnival activities to the immersive MI Dugout showcasing trophies and memorabilia, fans had multiple ways to engage. The Khau Gali food zone added a strong local flavour, while fashion installations blended cricket culture with streetwear.

Sustainability was also a key focus, with reusable cups and free hydration stations encouraging responsible consumption across the venue.
With its debut edition, The MIX successfully reimagined how fans connect with sport beyond the field. By seamlessly integrating entertainment, culture, and community, Mumbai Indians and BookMyShow Live have created a compelling blueprint for the future of sports-led experiences in India.
