The Directorate of Tourism in the Union Territory of Ladakh has invited bids for the selection of a branding and social media agency to support its tourism outreach efforts.
According to an official notice, the department has issued a request for proposal (RFP) for agencies to manage branding and digital communication for the region. Details of the e-bid submission are available on the government’s e-tender portal, and the authority has reserved the right to cancel or annul the bidding process without assigning reasons.
The development was also shared through Ladakh Tourism’s official social media channels, which described the mandate as an opportunity for agencies to shape the region’s digital presence. “Ladakh Tourism is inviting proposals for a Branding & Social Media Agency, a rare opportunity to craft powerful narratives from the Himalayas. Be part of India’s most iconic travel destination.”
The selected agency will be responsible for branding and digital communication, indicating a broader push to enhance visibility and engagement for Ladakh as a travel destination.
The tender has been issued as an open bid under the services category and follows a two-cover system, requiring separate technical and financial submissions. The bidding process opened on March 21, 2026, and will close on April 6. Bids are scheduled to be opened the same day.
A virtual pre-bid meeting is set for March 27 to address queries from participating agencies.
Financial requirements include an earnest money deposit of Rs 4 lakh and a tender fee of Rs 1,000. The contract is structured as a lump-sum engagement, with a bid validity period of 180 days.
The RFP has been issued by the Director of Tourism based in Kargil, marking a formal move to appoint an external agency for tourism branding and digital communication initiatives.
