StarDream Cruises Introduces First-Ever Bhajan Jamming Experience Onboard

StarDream Cruises is bringing a unique cultural experience to the seas with the introduction of Bhajan Jamming onboard its cruise ship, Genting Dream. This first-of-its-kind initiative takes a popular, community-led devotional format from India and places it in the unexpected setting of an open-sea voyage.

Bhajan Jamming has been gaining attention across India as a more participatory and immersive form of devotional music. Unlike traditional performances, these gatherings are collective and informal, where familiar bhajans are sung together, creating an experience that is both social and spiritual.

The themed sailings will take place on 26 May and 9 June 2026, featuring 3-night itineraries from Singapore to Phuket and back. During the journey, guests onboard Genting Dream will have the opportunity to be part of these sessions, where they can sing along, clap to the rhythm, and actively participate in the music rather than simply observe it.

Naresh Rawal, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, StarDream Cruises said, “What makes Bhajan Jamming special is that it’s participatory and collective. It’s not about watching a performance, it’s about being part of the music. Bringing that same format to sea creates a very different setting for it. When travellers step away from their everyday routines, moments like these naturally allow them to slow down, reconnect, and share the experience together.”

Set against the backdrop of the sea, the experience offers a different rhythm to the traditional format. Away from the pace of everyday life, Bhajan Jamming becomes more than just a musical gathering—it turns into a shared moment of connection, reflection, and community, woven seamlessly into the journey itself.
