Abhinav Rastogi has been elevated to the role of Global Marketing Director for YouTube Shopping, effective February 2026. He shared the development through a LinkedIn post.
In his new role, Rastogi will lead global marketing for YouTube Shopping, positioned as a three-sided marketplace that brings together creators, viewers and merchants, with the ambition of building a future where every video on YouTube can seamlessly enable commerce.
LinkedIn post read, “A month ago, I stepped into a new role as the Global Marketing Director for YouTube Shopping. I have been sitting with it for a few weeks before writing this, partly because I wanted to feel settled in, and partly because I wanted to say something worth reading rather than just announcing.”
Rastogi has been with Google for over 12 years. Most recently, as Director of Marketing for YouTube Asia Pacific, he led creator marketing initiatives, drove shopping expansion across the APAC region, and oversaw YouTube’s brand and reputation efforts.
Prior to joining Google, he worked as a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group and Kearney, advising technology companies across India, Hong Kong, Australia and the United States.
