Udaipur Marriott Hotel has announced the appointment of Ashish Kumar as its new General Manager. In his new role, Kumar will oversee overall hotel operations, drive business performance, strengthen brand positioning, and enhance guest experiences across all touchpoints.
Kumar brings more than 27 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having worked with luxury and full-service hotels across India and international markets. With a strong background in rooms operations, he has extensive expertise in hotel administration, revenue optimisation, asset management, and strategic leadership, including handling pre-openings, renovations, and large-scale operations.
Throughout his career, Kumar has been associated with leading hospitality brands such as Hyatt, Taj, and ITC Hotels, including a significant 17-year tenure with Hyatt.
In his previous role, Kumar led revenue optimisation across rooms, food and beverage, banquets, and other points of sale. He also implemented disciplined cost controls and operational efficiencies that contributed to improved GOP and EBITDA performance. He is recognised for driving brand excellence, building strong teams, and fostering employee development while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
