Navi Mumbai Street Race to Bring High-Speed Motorsport Action to the City

Motorsports in India have seen a surge of excitement over the past few weeks, with growing conversations around the potential return of Formula One and MotoGP to the country. The momentum around racing has been building steadily, drawing increasing interest from fans and industry stakeholders.

Recent events have further fuelled this enthusiasm. Showcases like Red Bull MotoJam have attracted large crowds, while the Goa Street Race saw more than 11,000 spectators turn up to witness the high-speed action.

The spotlight now shifts to Navi Mumbai, which is set to host the Navi Mumbai Street Race in April 2026. Envisioned as a high-octane night race, the event will transform the city’s streets into a dramatic urban racing circuit under lights.

The race weekend is expected to feature competitions from the Indian Racing League and the F4 Indian Championship, bringing together Indian and international drivers for an action-packed motorsport spectacle.

The event is being organised by Racing Promotions, the promoters of the Indian Racing Festival, in collaboration with the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and with support from the Government of Maharashtra.

The race was earlier announced by the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, highlighting the state’s intent to position the region as a key destination for global motorsport events.

With national broadcast planned on Star Sports and streaming on JioHotstar, the Navi Mumbai Street Race is expected to gain significant visibility and reach a wide audience across the country.

As interest in motorsports continues to grow, the event is set to add another exciting chapter to India’s evolving racing landscape.
