Communique India Designs Google’s Flagship Pavilion at AI Impact Summit Expo 2026

Experiential marketing agency Communique India designed and executed Google’s flagship pavilion at the AI Impact Summit Expo 2026, creating an immersive experience intended to make artificial intelligence feel tangible, relevant and rooted in an Indian context.

Rather than building a conventional exhibition booth, the pavilion was designed as an open and exploratory space organised across six thematic verticals. The layout avoided enclosed structures, allowing thousands of summit attendees to move freely through the installation. Among the visitors was Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who toured the expo during the event.

The design strategy also addressed structural constraints within the venue. A fire curtain within the exhibition space required a spatial division, which the design team turned into a functional advantage. High-engagement installations such as Portraits of Progress and AI Cricket Coach were placed outside the central zone to attract visitors, while the interior areas hosted more technical demonstrations that benefited from a quieter environment.

The pavilion’s lighting and spatial treatment were inspired by retail environments rather than typical event lighting setups. Interior-style lighting and carpeting from the entrance were used to create a premium, immersive atmosphere for visitors.

At the centre of the pavilion was Impact Island, a circular interactive structure designed to connect the various zones and present the broader impact of Google’s AI initiatives.

Each zone within the pavilion presented a specific theme through narrative-led installations rather than traditional product demonstrations.

The AI for Health section recreated a healthcare centre environment, featuring MedGemma alongside multiple partner use cases. The AI for Agriculture zone drew inspiration from land parcels and highlighted technologies such as Agri Landscape Understanding and WeatherNext2.

The AI for Growth and Innovation area showcased the journey of a micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME), demonstrating how tools such as custom Gems and NotebookLM can support business operations through the Gemini platform. The AI for Learning and Skilling zone was designed as a study environment, highlighting AhamX and Guided Learning on Gemini.

In the AI for Everyone zone, visitors experienced live speech-to-speech translation technology designed to function effectively even in a noisy summit environment, enabled through professional microphones and audio mixing systems. The AI for Scientific Discovery section presented Google Quantum AI in a format aimed at making advanced research concepts accessible to visitors.

Interactive installations formed a major part of the pavilion experience. The AI Cricket Coach featured a live batting net where visitors could test their cricketing skills while receiving real-time analysis powered by Gemini. Participants received personalised social-media-ready replay cards that included AI-generated commentary, slow-motion footage and visualisations of their batting moment.

Another installation, Portraits of Progress, invited visitors to answer three questions aligned with the summit’s three themes—People, Planet and Progress. Using seven Indian art styles, the system generated personalised AI portraits reflecting each participant’s vision of a sustainable future. The artworks were displayed on a large LED wall, turning individual contributions into a collective visual statement.

According to Communique India, the pavilion’s design approach aimed to make advanced technology feel human-centric while delivering a premium and engaging experience for visitors.
