Skål International India strengthened its presence in the travel and tourism sector with a strategic participation at two of Asia’s leading travel trade exhibitions — OTM 2026 and SATTE 2026.
At OTM 2026, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, Skål International India hosted an Open Networking Session that brought together Skålleagues from across India and several international destinations. The session reflected the organisation’s core ethos of professional friendship and collaboration, creating opportunities for industry engagement, dialogue and cross-border partnerships within the Skål network.
The organisation carried forward this momentum at SATTE 2026, hosted at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. The event opened with a series of media briefings, stakeholder meetings and the Skål International India National Committee meeting, attended by club presidents or their nominees along with members of the national board.
Discussions during the committee meeting focused on strengthening and expanding Skål clubs across the country while advancing preparations for the Skål India National Congress 2026, scheduled to be held in Coimbatore. The upcoming congress is expected to bring together tourism leaders and stakeholders from across India.
At SATTE, the Skål stand served as a central meeting point for members and industry professionals, facilitating networking, discussions and business opportunities aligned with the organisation’s guiding philosophy of “Doing Business Among Friends.”
The year 2026 also marks a significant milestone with Skål International India entering its first-ever pan-India partnership with Informa Markets and Fairfest Media, the organisers of SATTE and OTM respectively. The collaboration will cover travel trade events organised by the two companies across the country.
The events also saw participation from numerous international buyers who are members of Skål from various countries. Skålleagues attending as sellers organised buyer–seller meetings during the exhibitions, resulting in several productive industry interactions.
Sanjeev Mehra, President of Skål International India, said: “Our strong presence at both OTM and SATTE reflects the growing strength and relevance of Skål International India within the travel trade ecosystem. By creating platforms where members can connect, collaborate and grow together, we continue to uphold the values of the world’s largest travel and tourism professional organisation. Our first-ever pan-India collaboration with Informa Markets and Fairfest Media further strengthens our engagement with the industry and reinforces Skål’s commitment to building a strong and connected travel community across India.”
Together, the two events underscored Skål International India’s expanding leadership role within the travel and tourism industry while reinforcing its mission of Doing Business Among Friends.
