Kerala will host its first-ever edition of Comic Con with the launch of Kochi Comic Con, bringing together global icons, leading Indian creators and a wide-ranging entertainment line-up for fans in the city.
Presented by Maruti Suzuki Arena and powered by Crunchyroll, the two-day event will be held from February 28 to March 1, 2026, at the Adlux International Convention Center.
International Headliner
Headlining the guest list is Dan Parent, an American comic book artist and writer. Parent began his career at Archie Comics and rose to prominence with Love Showdown (1994). His creative portfolio includes crossovers such as Archie vs. Sharknado and Archie Meets Batman ’66, along with co-creating the Kickstarter-funded Die Kitty Die.
Indian Comic Creators Take Centre Stage
The event will also feature nineteen of India’s prominent comic artists and storytellers. Among them are Savio Mascarenhas, Group Art Director at Amar Chitra Katha and known as Tinkle’s “hero-maker”; Rajesh Nagulakonda, whose illustrations have shaped more than 150 murals in Ayodhya; Vivek Goel, founder of Holy Cow Entertainment and publisher of titles such as Ravanayan, The Aghori, and The Last Asuran; Abhijeet Kini, award-winning illustrator and founder of Abhijeet Kini Studios; Amrit Pal Singh, global visual artist and 3D illustrator known for Toy Faces and The Adventures of the Toy Maker; and Saumin Patel, illustrator of Agent Vinod – The Jungfrau Encounter, Bahubali – Battle of the Bold, and 18 Days, among others.
The line-up aims to provide attendees with opportunities to interact with artists, participate in panel discussions and engage with India’s comic and art community.
Music and Comedy Performances
Beyond comics, Kochi Comic Con will feature live performances throughout the weekend.
The music line-up includes MHR (Mohammed Hussain Rahman), a producer known for blending Malabari-rooted hip-hop with EDM; Joker (Fazin Rasheed), a Malayalam hip-hop artist who integrates traditional Kerala cultural elements with modern rap; Purple Line, an alternative R&B, hip-hop and funk duo; and Geek Fruit, a comedy collective combining music, humour and pop-culture sketches.
The comedy segment will feature Rohan Joshi, a comedian, writer and television presenter; Gautham Govindan, known for his observational humour; and Nirmal Pillai, recognised for his stage presence.
Show Floor and Interactive Zones
The show floor will offer exclusive merchandise, rare collectibles and pop-culture apparel. Interactive experience zones will include the Maruti Suzuki Arena Zone for brand activations, the Crunchyroll Zone catering to anime enthusiasts and the NODWIN Gaming Arena for gaming audiences.
Organisers said Kochi Comic Con 2026 is positioned as a landmark celebration that brings global icons and India’s creative talent under one roof.
