Shakira Returns to India for Feeding India Concert 2026 in Mumbai & Delhi

Feeding India, a not-for-profit organization, along with District by Zomato, the going-out platform, has announced the third edition of the Feeding India Concert 2026. In a historic first for the initiative, global pop icon and multiple Grammy Award winner Shakira will headline shows in Mumbai on April 10 and in Delhi on April 15, marking the first time the concert will be held across multiple cities. The shows are presented by HSBC India and will be produced and exclusively ticketed by District by Zomato.

After years of anticipation, the Colombian superstar will return to India, where fans have awaited the opportunity to experience her live performances. Organizers said her participation is also expected to amplify national dialogue around hunger and malnutrition.

Commenting on the announcement, Shakira said, “Performing in India has always been special to me, and I’m excited to connect with my fans across Mumbai and Delhi. The Feeding India Concert is about more than music; it’s about standing together to ensure every child has access to the nutrition they need to thrive.”

The expansion to two cities reflects growing momentum behind the Feeding India Concert, described by organizers as one of India’s prominent music-for-change initiatives. The platform has previously brought together artists, philanthropists, changemakers and citizens in support of the mission to achieve Zero Hunger by 2030.

Shakira, known for chart-topping anthems including “Hips Don’t Lie,” “Whenever, Wherever,” and the World Cup hit “Waka Waka,” is among the best-selling music artists globally. Through her Barefoot Foundation, she has championed education and child welfare initiatives for vulnerable communities worldwide, aligning with the Feeding India Concert’s vision of a hunger- and malnutrition-free nation.

Rahul Ganjoo, CEO, District by Zomato, said, “This is a defining moment for the Feeding India Concert. Bringing an artist of Shakira’s global stature to two cities represents our commitment to scaling impact while delivering world-class entertainment. Music has the unique power to unite people across boundaries, and we’re leveraging that to drive meaningful conversations that can transform lives. This is what the Feeding India Concert stands for: experiences that move you emotionally while moving the needle on hunger.”

The Feeding India Concert is positioned as a community-driven initiative designed to accelerate progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger by 2030. The organization addresses hunger and malnutrition through large-scale systemic interventions in collaboration with government, direct meal support to low-income government and non-government schools, and a youth-led volunteer movement aimed at raising awareness and driving action across communities.

Organizers said the concert serves as an awareness platform, bringing together stakeholders from across sectors in recognition that addressing hunger requires collective action.
