The Expo is being held from 16–20 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, as part of a broader national initiative positioning India at the forefront of responsible AI innovation. Designed as an experiential showcase of real world AI applications, the Expo spans tens of thousands of square metres and is expected to bring together exhibitors, startups, enterprises, investors and policymakers from India and abroad.

The exhibition is structured around seven thematic zones, reflecting key facets of AI’s role in economic and social transformation, including trusted AI systems, human capital development, inclusion, resilience, scientific advancement and democratizing access to AI resources.

The Expo precedes the India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled for 19–20 February 2026 at the same venue. Organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) under the IndiaAI Mission, the Summit aims to shift the global dialogue on artificial intelligence from policy rhetoric to measurable real world impact.

The Summit is expected to bring together world leaders, policymakers, industry executives, researchers and innovators to explore how AI can be harnessed responsibly for inclusive growth, environmental sustainability and equitable development. It will also serve as a platform to advance cooperation on AI deployment, particularly across the Global South, and foster partnerships that translate technological innovation into societal benefit.

A Research Symposium on AI and its Impact is scheduled for 18 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. The symposium will feature eminent researchers from India and other regions presenting frontier research and forging collaborations focused on responsible and impactful AI adoption.

In the months leading up to the Summit, India has hosted several pre summit engagements, including stakeholder consultations, regional technology and governance conferences, startup acceleration programs and international briefings to build global participation.

Civic authorities in Delhi have undertaken infrastructure and beautification initiatives across the capital in preparation for the global gathering.

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 and the accompanying Expo are expected to underscore India’s ambition to lead global efforts in responsible AI innovation, international cooperation and equitable technological progress.
