Malaysia Airlines has successfully concluded its first-ever participation at Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) 2026, Asia’s premier travel and tourism trade exhibition, held from February 5 to 7 at the Jio World Convention Centre.
The airline’s debut at Asia’s leading travel trade platform underscored its strong and enduring commitment to the Indian market, as well as its focus on deepening collaboration with trade and industry partners.
Participating as a partner airline, Malaysia Airlines made a strong impression at OTM 2026 with its largest-ever booth at the event. Conceptualised as an immersive pavilion, the space featured interactive brand experiences and dedicated zones for engagement with trade partners. The pavilion earned Malaysia Airlines the Best Experiential and Immersive Pavilion Award at OTM 2026.
Adding to the engagement, former Mumbai Indians players Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh made special appearances at the booth, highlighting the airline’s strategic partnership with the iconic cricket franchise Mumbai Indians. Visitors had the opportunity to interact with the cricket legends, reinforcing Malaysia Airlines’ connection with Indian travellers through shared interests in sport, culture, and travel.
Over the three-day exhibition, Malaysia Airlines showcased its strategic partnerships and market-specific offerings for Indian travellers, including its Bonus Side Trip programme. The airline also highlighted its latest MHcorporate SME tactical campaign, aimed at enhancing value for business travellers. The campaign offers triple benefits for corporate customers, including 5,000 welcome bonus points upon sign-up, double Enrich points on every ticket purchase, and up to 10% off on the next flight redemption.
Commenting on the airline’s participation, Bryan Foong, Chief Executive Officer of Airline Business at Malaysia Aviation Group, said, “Our participation at OTM 2026 reaffirmed our strong commitment to the Indian market and our valued trade partners. As the gateway to Asia and beyond, Malaysia Airlines continues to offer seamless connectivity, signature Malaysian hospitality, and memorable travel experiences. We are proud to present our largest booth at OTM this year, as we continue to strengthen partnerships and inspire travel from India.”
As the airline continues to expand its network, strengthen industry partnerships, and enhance its passenger experience, Malaysia Airlines said it remains committed to delivering meaningful journeys and reinforcing its position as a leading global airline.
