Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan added to the spectacle of the World Pickleball League (WPBL) 2026 by featuring in a special exhibition game at the Jio World Garden on Saturday evening. Playing alongside three lucky fans, Khan enthralled a packed stadium, significantly enhancing the sportainment quotient of the league.
The exhibition match took place on a crucial day of the tournament, which featured the two semi-finals of the second season of the WPBL. Earlier in the evening, Chennai Super Champs secured a place in the final with a commanding 3-1 victory over Pune United. As the semi-final concluded, anticipation among fans grew as they awaited Khan’s appearance on court.
With paddle in hand, Khan played two engaging games, drawing loud cheers from the crowd and defying age with his energy and competitive spirit. His performance went on to become one of the most memorable moments in the league’s history, further cementing his association with the WPBL.

Right from the beginning of the tournament, there was intense anticipation over whether he would be turning up in the league again. Earlier in the day, Chennai Super Champs continued their dominant run in the tournament, defeating Pune United 3-1. The Super Champs clinched victories in women’s singles, mixed doubles, and women’s doubles, wrapping up the semi-final tie in just four matches. The encounter was witnessed by Chennai’s co-owner Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who was present at the venue.
