Royal Canin Advances Veterinary Nutrition Standards with Paediatric Program at IVCEM 2026, Mumbai

Royal Canin reinforced its leadership in veterinary nutrition education at the International Veterinary Conference & Expo, Mumbai (IVCEM 2026), with a strong focus on its Paediatric Program aimed at improving early-life care for puppies and kittens.

Held on January 10 and 11, 2026, at the CIDCO Convention Centre in Navi Mumbai, the two-day conference was organised by the Veterinary Practitioners’ Welfare Association and brought together around 200 veterinarians from across the country. The event featured a blend of lectures and hands-on practical sessions designed to enhance clinical expertise across multiple veterinary disciplines.

At the conference, Royal Canin showcased its comprehensive Paediatric Program for veterinarians, alongside several new veterinary diet launches. The Paediatric Program focuses on critical developmental stages from birth through the first year of life, offering evidence-based nutritional protocols to support optimal growth, immune system development, and long-term health outcomes. The initiative is rooted in the brand’s long-standing research into age-specific nutrition and preventive healthcare.

Royal Canin also introduced new veterinary diets targeting common health concerns across life stages in dogs and cats. These included the GI (Gastrointestinal) Puppy & Kitten range for digestive support during early development, a Neutered Small Dog formula addressing metabolic and urinary health needs, and an Early Renal solution designed for proactive nutritional management of early-stage kidney concerns.

The conference agenda covered a wide spectrum of veterinary specialisations. Day one featured hands-on workshops in Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Exotic Animal Care, Cytology, and Bovine Reproduction, while day two included expert-led sessions on pet nutrition, anaesthesia management, canine reproduction, haematology, and clinical decision-making.

Commenting on the initiative, Vishal Dangle, Scientific Communication Manager at Royal Canin, said, “Nutrition in the first year of life determines health trajectories for the next decade. Royal Canin is shifting the paradigm from reactive treatment to proactive nutritional intervention. IVCEM 2026 provided the ideal platform to engage with some of the best veterinarians from across India and showcase our Paediatric Program, which gives veterinarians the scientific tools to prevent health issues before they manifest, ensuring every young animal has the nutritional foundation for a thriving life.”

Royal Canin noted that its commitment to veterinary education extends beyond product development, with continued partnerships with veterinary associations and practitioners to strengthen knowledge-sharing and elevate care standards nationwide.

The conference concluded with the Kartrutva Gaurav 2026 awards ceremony, recognising excellence in veterinary practice, followed by a gala dinner aimed at fostering professional networking and collaboration.
