Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India partners with BusinessLive Trade Fairs to expand Media Expo footprint across India

Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India has entered into a strategic collaboration with BusinessLive Trade Fairs to significantly expand the reach of Media Expo across India. As part of this alliance, Sign India Expo will transition into Media Expo, marking the launch of Media Expo Kochi and Media Expo Hyderabad, while Sign India Expo Chennai will be rebranded under the existing Media Expo Chennai banner.

With this move, Media Expo’s presence will expand from three cities to five key commercial hubs—Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai and New Delhi—strengthening its position as a unified exhibition platform for the printing, signage, branding and advertising solutions industry.

Media Expo, which has successfully delivered 56 editions across Mumbai, New Delhi and Chennai, will now become the primary exhibition platform in South India, replacing the long-established Sign India Expo in Kochi, Hyderabad and Chennai. The transition aims to ensure focused regional engagement while offering the industry a consistent and consolidated platform across southern markets. The collaboration will be implemented beginning with Media Expo Chennai, scheduled to take place later this year at the Chennai Trade Centre.

Sign India Expo brings with it a legacy of over 70 editions across India, with a particularly strong presence in southern cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi and Hyderabad. The partnership brings together two well-established exhibition brands, creating a unified and larger-scale trade fair platform for the industry.

The expanded Media Expo platform will showcase a comprehensive range of product segments, including printing and signage solutions, digital signage, advertising solutions for out-of-home (OOH) and digital out-of-home (DOOH), retail displays and branding solutions, large-format and industrial printing, fabrication equipment and materials, POP-POSM, LED screens, printing equipment, sign substrates, inks, and advanced 3D and laser printing technologies.

By leveraging BusinessLive Trade Fairs’ strong regional presence, the collaboration aims to strengthen Media Expo’s positioning as a central industry platform in South India. The alliance is expected to enhance exhibitor participation, broaden market reach, and create stronger buyer-seller connections by bringing together exhibitors, visitors, associations and professionals from across the printing, signage, branding and OOH-DOOH ecosystem.

Commenting on the collaboration, Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, said: “South India continues to be one of the most dynamic and opportunity-driven regions for the printing and signage industry. This collaboration with BusinessLive Trade Fairs allows us to expand Media Expo’s footprint while offering the industry a stronger, more centralised platform that supports long-term growth and meaningful engagement.”

Siva Prasad Palnati, Director, BusinessLive Trade Fairs, added: “Sign India Expo has built a strong and trusted presence across South India over the years. Partnering with Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs enables us to elevate that legacy by combining regional strength with global exhibition expertise, creating region-specific platforms with the Media Expo brand that will serve the industry and its evolving needs better.”

The growth outlook for the sector remains robust. According to IMARC Group, India’s printing and signage market is projected to grow from USD 1,074.5 million in 2025 to USD 3,494.3 million by 2034. Meanwhile, Mordor Intelligence estimates that the OOH and DOOH market will expand from USD 519.93 million in 2025 to USD 656.13 million by 2030.

With complementary strengths and deep market understanding, the partnership between Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India and BusinessLive Trade Fairs marks a strategic step towards building a more cohesive and future-ready printing and signage industry ecosystem in South India.
