As part of the ongoing Republic Day celebrations, the Ministry of Tourism is organising the six-day mega cultural festival Bharat Parv 2026, which is currently underway from January 26 to 31 at the lawns in front of the iconic Red Fort and along Gyan Path in New Delhi. The festival is presenting a vibrant showcase of India’s cultural diversity, featuring traditions, cuisines, attire, handicrafts, folk arts, and music from across the country.
One of the key attractions of Bharat Parv 2026 is the exhibition of the tableaus that participated in the Republic Day Parade, along with cultural performances, food courts, and handicraft exhibitions. The event is drawing significant public attention, including tourists keen on exploring India as a travel destination, as well as entrepreneurs and stakeholders from various segments of the tourism industry.
The Tourism Department of the Government of Maharashtra is participating in the festival through a dedicated pavilion. Visitors are being provided with comprehensive information on the state’s diverse tourism offerings and facilities. The pavilion showcases Maharashtra’s rich cultural heritage, scenic beaches, and historic forts from the era of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, among several other distinctive destinations, with the aim of reaching a wider audience of travellers.
The primary objective of the Maharashtra Tourism Pavilion is to establish destinations across the Maharashtra region on the global tourism map and to ensure the availability of accurate and relevant information to guide tourists. The festival also seeks to promote the spirit of unity in diversity, which lies at the heart of India’s cultural fabric.
Shri Sanjay Khandare, Principal Secretary, Tourism Department, Government of Maharashtra, said, “Bharat Parv 2026” will attract tourists as well as entrepreneurs from across the country. The Maharashtra Tourism pavilion will be one of the primary attractions for the tourists, along with in-depth information on the picturesque locations available here in Maharashtra, its rich cultural essence, and the highly developed tourism infrastructure available here.”
Dr. B. N. Patil (IAS), Director of the Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, added, “At ‘Bharat Parv 2026’, the Maharashtra Tourism pavilion will offer visitors an immersive experience of the state’s rich culture and renowned hospitality. Through our display of information on forts, folk art and tourism, we hope to attract more visitors to our stalls. I request visitors, tourists, and particularly the youth to explore the diversity and tourism spots in Maharashtra by visiting our pavilion at Bharat Parv 2026.”
With strong footfall and enthusiastic participation, Maharashtra’s presence at Bharat Parv 2026 is reinforcing the state’s image as a vibrant, culturally rich, and well-connected tourism destination.
